Are You Ready To Move To Unicode-Encoded TransIndic Transliterator Fonts? |
|
Now You Can Easily Convert Your ASCII-Encoded TransIndic Transliterator Word Files To Our Unicode-Encoded TransIndic Transliterator In Unicode Fonts With The TransIndic Converter.
TransIndic Converter will allow you to convert text typed with Linguist's Software TransIndic Transliterator (ASCII-encoded) fonts to the new Unicode-encoded font in TransIndic Transliterator in Unicode. The converter is a series of macros embedded in a Microsoft Word file. You simply copy the appropriate macro(s) into each of your Word files that contain TransIndic text and run the macro(s) to convert the text to the Unicode-encoded values of the TransIndic Transliterator in Unicode fonts. The macros do not affect any other text in your files except the TransIndic text, allowing you to retain your file's original formatting. The TransIndic Converter makes a daunting task simple.
Complete instructions are included in the TransIndic Converter User's Manual.
TransIndic Converter for Windows
TransIndic Converter for Windows
TransIndic Converter for Windows includes macros to convert TransIndic Transliterator (ASCII-encoded) text to the corresponding TransIndic Transliterator in Unicode (Unicode-encoded) font. For example, you can convert all the TransIndicLS text in a Word document to TransIndicLSU with a single click.
Windows System Requirements:
- Operating System
- The TransIndic Converter requires Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, XP or 2000 SP3.
- Applications
- Requires Microsoft Word 2013, 2010, 2007, or 2003. The files you are going to convert must be Word for Windows files, since the macros are Word macros embedded in a Word file.
- Fonts
- Requires one or more of the TransIndic Transliterator (ASCII-encoded) fonts from Linguist's Software and the corresponding Unicode-encoded font from the TransIndic Transliterator in Unicode for Windows product. Note you must install both the ASCII-encoded (TransIndicLS) font(s) that you used to type your file(s) and the Unicode-encoded (TransIndicLSU) font(s) to which you are converting the files.
- The TransIndicLS ASCII-encoded fonts used in your documents must be version 3.0 (dated May 23, 1997) or newer to be successfully converted. If your fonts are older than version 3.0 you must first update TransIndic Transliterator and convert your documents to the new version of the ASCII-encoded fonts following instructions in the Troubleshooting Manual. Then the TransIndic Converter can be used to convert your documents to the Unicode-encoded version of TransIndicLSU.

TransIndic Converter for Macintosh
TransIndic Converter for Macintosh
TransIndic Converter for Macintosh includes macros to convert TransIndic Transliterator (ASCII-encoded) text to corresponding TransIndic Transliterator in Unicode (Unicode-encoded) fonts. For example, you can convert all the TransIndicLS text in a Word document to TransIndicLSU with a single click.
Macintosh System Requirements:
- Applications
- Requires Microsoft Word 2004 or 2011 to convert files to the TransIndic Transliterator in Unicode fonts. The files you are going to convert must be Word for Macintosh files, since the macros are Word macros embedded in a Word file.
- Word 2008 does not support Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macros and therefore will not work. You must have Word 2004 or 2011. (Microsoft left VBA out of Word 2008.)
- Requires Word 2011 or higher or Mellel. Word is Unicode-compliant, but does not support the OpenType features of the TransIndicLSU font. Converted Word documents must therefore be imported into Word 2011 or higher or the Mellel word processor to correctly display and print the text, and to edit the text.
- Fonts
- You must install both the TransIndic Transliterator (ASCII-encoded) fonts used in your files and the Unicode-encoded (TransIndic Transliterator in Unicode) font to which you are converting the files.

- All documentation is in Adobe Acrobat PDF format, so Adobe Reader must be installed on your computer. If you do not already have it installed, you can download Adobe Reader free from the Adobe web site.
