LaserArmenian Converter

Are You Ready To Move To A Unicode-Encoded Armenian Font?

for Windows

for Macintosh

Now You Can Easily Convert Your ASCII-Encoded LaserArmenian Documents To Our Unicode-Encoded LaserArmenian In Unicode Font Using The LaserArmenian Converter.

LaserArmenian Converter will allow you to convert text typed with the Linguist's Software LaserArmenian (ASCII-encoded) font to the new Unicode-encoded font in LaserArmenian in Unicode. The converter is a macro embedded in a Microsoft Word document. You simply copy the macro into each of your Word documents that contain ArmenianLS™ text and run the macro to convert the text to the Unicode-encoded values of the ArmenianLSU™ font. The macro does not affect any other text in your document except the LaserArmenian text, allowing you to retain your document's original formatting. The LaserArmenian Converter makes a daunting task simple.

Complete instructions are included in the LaserArmenian Converter User's Manual.

LaserArmenian Converter is available for both Windows and Macintosh. Please see the System Requirements for Windows or Macintosh before ordering.

LaserArmenian Converter for Windows

LaserArmenian Converter for Windows

LaserArmenian Converter for Windows includes a macro to convert LaserArmenian (ASCII-encoded) text to the LaserArmenian in Unicode (Unicode-encoded ArmenianLSU) font. After setup you can convert all the ArmenianLS text in a Word document to ArmenianLSU with a single click.

Windows System Requirements:

  • bulletOperating System
    1. bulletThe LaserArmenian Converter requires Windows 10, 8, 7, XP, 2000, NT 4.0, Me, 98, or 95. But note that LaserArmenian in Unicode (the font to which you are converting the documents) requires Windows 10, 8, 7, XP, 2000, or NT 4.0 for keyboard support. So even though you may run the Converter in earlier versions of Windows you will need the later versions of Windows to work with the converted files. (See LaserArmenian in Unicode for Windows for details.)
  • bulletApplications
    1. bulletRequires Microsoft Word 2013, 2010, 2007, 2003, 2002 (XP), 2000, or 97. The documents you are going to convert must be Word for Windows documents, since the macro is a Word macro embedded in a Word document.
  • bulletFonts
    1. bulletRequires the ArmenianLS (ASCII-encoded) font from Linguist's Software and the corresponding Unicode-encoded ArmenianLSU font from the LaserArmenian in Unicode for Windows product.
    2. bulletThe LaserArmenian ASCII-encoded ArmenianLS font used in your documents must be version 4.0 (dated September 3, 1997) or newer to be successfully converted. If your font is older than version 4.0 you must first update LaserArmenian and convert your documents to the new version of the ASCII-encoded font following instructions in the Troubleshooting Manual. Then the LaserArmenian Converter can be used to convert your documents to the Unicode-encoded version of LaserArmenian.
    3. bulletHow do I find the version number?
  • Documentation
    1. bulletAll documentation is in Adobe Acrobat PDF format, so Adobe Reader must be installed on your computer. If you do not already have it installed, you can download Adobe Reader free from the Adobe web site.

LaserArmenian Converter for Macintosh

LaserArmenian Converter for Macintosh includes a macro to convert LaserArmenian (ASCII-encoded) text to the LaserArmenian in Unicode (Unicode-encoded) font. After setup you can convert all the ArmenianLS text in a Word document to ArmenianLSU with a single click.

Macintosh System Requirements:

  • bulletApplications

The documents you are going to convert must be Word for Macintosh documents, since the macro is a Word macro embedded in a Word document. (See LaserArmenian in Unicode for Macintosh to be sure you understand the System Requirements for the Unicode-encoded font.)
    2. bulletWord 2008 does not support Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macros and therefore will not work. You must have Word 2004 or 2011. (Microsoft left VBA out of Word 2008.)
    3. bulletThe converted Word text can then be imported into Microsoft Word 2011 or higher or the Mellel word processor. (See LaserArmenian in Unicode for Macintosh for details.) Or you can use the converted text in any Unicode-compatible Macintosh software.
