Linguist’s Software Year 2000 (Y2K)
Compliance Statement

To keep our customers and other interested parties informed about Linguist’s Software Year 2000 compliance, we provide the following official statement on the topic:

Linguist’s Software manufactured products are Year 2000 compliant. Windows and Macintosh fonts (both TrueType and Type 1 PostScript font file formats) are not date dependent, do not require date input, and do not make calculations on dates. Both font formats store their creation and modification dates internally, but no action is dependent on those dates, nor is action taken on them by the Windows and Macintosh operating systems. The fonts therefore are Year 2000 compliant.

The Windows keyboard files that are included with some of our Windows products under the term "Keyboard Switcher" are not date dependent. The Macintosh keyboards and keyboard resources that are included with some of our Macintosh products are not date dependent. These products all are Year 2000 compliant.

Linguist’s Software acts as a reseller of Windows and Macintosh products manufactured by other companies and makes no claims about, nor takes any responsibility for, the Year 2000 compliance of those products. We instead refer you to the manufacturers of those products for more information.

This Year 2000 Statement is a designated Year 2000 Readiness Disclosure under the Year 2000 Information and Readiness Disclosure Act (S. 2392 105th Congress), and it does not create any contract or warranty between you and Linguist’s Software.
