Eight (8) distinctive typefaces for use in the Macintosh
Thai Operating System or the Macintosh English
Operating System. They are in hinted Type 1 and TrueType
formats with corresponding bitmap fonts in 18, 24, 36, 48, and 60
point sizes. LaserThai II fonts contain all the characters for
Thai and English with easy switching between languages. The
Sukanya, ChiangMai, Bangkok, and KhunKrit fonts have
corresponding Times-style English characters. The Ayudhya, Naay
Haang, Phatphong, and Thonburi fonts have Helvetica-style English
characters.
LaserThai II includes the AsiaScript Scripting System which
allows the user to type in the English System as if the computer
was operating in the Thai System. Simply type the consonant, the
vowel and then the tone marker. Input follows the GatManee
keyboard layout. The resulting file can be transferred to the
Thai System.
LaserThai II includes a Text Converter program for easy
conversion of files to/from the Mac Thai System or Thai Windows
when files are saved in pure ASCII format with Thai Windows encoding. Users of the Thai
System or the Thai Language Kit cannot use regular English System
applications, but if you use LaserThai II fonts in your English
System you can use your regular English System applications to
produce text files that can be read in the Mac Thai OS or in Thai
Windows.
Sukanya, Chiang Mai, Ayudhya, KhunKrit, Naay Haang, and
Phatphong are provided in plain, bold, italic,
and bold-italic. Bangkok and Thonburi
are in plain and bold only. Includes User's Manual, keyboard
charts and keystickers.
System Requirements: The font may be typed with an included keyboard resource that installs into
OS X 10.2 and above or System 7.1-9.x. (The alternate keyboard does not support OS X 10.0 or 10.1,
which do not allow installation of alternate keyboard resources.) The
alternate input method uses the AsiaScript® scripting system, which installs
into Classic mode running under OS X, or into Macintosh System 7.1-9.x. The
AsiaScript input method does not run on Macintoshes that do not support Classic
mode. (AsiaScript has been tested in OS X 10.3 Classic Mode). The product
includes a User's Manual, a keyboard resource, and keyboard layout charts.
