TECH® makes available to scientists a set of ten TrueType® and Type 1 fonts which can be used in standard word processors for serious research and writing in the scientific disciplines. TECH has been developed and refined in consultation with scientists from NASA, MIT, Harvard, the Jet Propulsion Labs, etc. The two included logical keyboard layouts are designed for maximum ease of use.

TECH has ten font families: Tech, TechEquation, TechSymbol, TechSymbolSans, Technic®, TechnicLight, TechnicSans, TechnicSansLight, CityBlueprint®, and CountryBlueprint®. All fonts have plain, bold, italic, and bold-italic styles, except TechEquation, CityBlueprint, and CountryBlueprint come in plain only. Tech and TechEquation contain all the standard symbols needed for scientific equations in mathematics, engineering, physics, economics, astronomy, chemistry, etc. There are more than 23 overstrike keys for fast typing. Features include extendible square and cube root signs and a minispace for exact positioning. TechEquation is the same as plain style Tech but with italic lowercase a-z for easy typing of the standard equation form of the English alphabet. TechSymbol and TechSymbolSans allow the user to work with the Equation Editor in Microsoft® Word in both serif and san serif styles, in plain, bold, italic and bold-italic. (The regular Symbol® system font has serif style in plain only, and no sans serif style.) CityBlueprint, CountryBlueprint Technic, TechnicLight, TechnicSans, and TechnicSansLight are useful for regular English text in drafting, architectural drawing, and blueprint production. (TechnicSans and TechnicSansLight are just like Technic and TechnicLight, except they have standard lowercase letter shapes.)

TECH for Windows

Ten TrueType® and Type 1 scalable fonts for complex scientific and mathematical equations, with keyboard software and complete documentation. The product installs automatically to the Windows Start menu where all documentation can be viewed and/or printed.

System Requirements: The TrueType® fonts install into Microsoft® Windows 7, Vista, XP, or 2000, and work with all Windows 7-, Vista-, XP-, and 2000-compatible applications that allow the user to select fonts from a font menu. (A previous version is available for Windows NT, Me, 98, or 95; please contact the Sales office.) The product includes a User's Manual and keyboard layout chart(s). The included keyboard driver(s) allows access to four characters per key (instead of the normal two) and alternate keyboard layouts. All documentation is in PDF format, available on the Windows Start menu, and can be viewed and/or printed using Adobe Reader. The fonts will print to any printer at the highest quality allowed by your printer.

A custom version (fonts only) is available for Linux, but Linux users must provide alternate keyboard input for characters in the extended character set. If you are ordering for Linux be sure to select the Linux box on the Order Form.
