Semitic Transliterator Converter.
Semitic Transliterator Converter will allow you to
convert text typed with Linguist's Software Semitic
Transliterator (ASCII-encoded) fonts to the new
Unicode-encoded fonts in Semitic Transliterator in Unicode. The
converter is a series of macros embedded in a Microsoft Word file. You
simply copy the appropriate macro(s) into each of your Word files that
contain Semitic Transliterator text and run the macro(s) to convert the text to the
Unicode-encoded values of the Semitic Transliterator in Unicode fonts. The macros do not
affect any other text in your files except the Semitic Transliterator text, allowing you to retain your file's original formatting. The
Semitic Transliterator
Converter makes a daunting task simple.

Semitic Transliterator Converter for Windows
Semitic Transliterator Converter for Windows includes macros to convert
Semitic Transliterator
(ASCII-encoded) text to Semitic Transliterator in Unicode
(Unicode-encoded) fonts. For example, you can convert all the
TranslitLSPala text in
a Word document to TranslitPalaU
with a single click.
System Requirements:

Operating System - The Semitic Transliterator Converter
requires Windows XP, 2000, NT 4.0, Me, 98, or 95. But note that
Semitic Transliterator in Unicode (the fonts to which you are converting the files)
requires Windows XP, 2000, or NT 4.0 for keyboard support. So even
though you may run the Converter in earlier versions of Windows you will
need the later versions of Windows to work with the converted files.

Applications - Requires Microsoft Word 2003,
2002 (XP), 2000, or 97. The files you are going to convert must be Word
for Windows files, since the macros are Word macros embedded in a Word
file. |

Fonts - Requires one or more of the
Semitic Transliterator
(ASCII-encoded) fonts from Linguist's Software and the corresponding
Unicode-encoded font from the Semitic Transliterator in Unicode
for Windows product. Note you must install both the ASCII-encoded
Semitic Transliterator font(s) that you used to
type your file(s) and the corresponding Unicode-encoded (Semitic
TransliteratorU)
fonts to which you are converting the files. (There are some exceptions,
noted in the User's Manual.) |

The Semitic
Transliterator ASCII-encoded fonts used in your documents must be version
4.0 (dated
April 15, 1997) or newer to be successfully converted. If your fonts are
older than version 4.0 you must first update
Semitic Transliterator and convert your documents to the new version of the
ASCII-encoded fonts following instructions in the Troubleshooting
Manual you will receive with the upgrade. Then the Semitic
Transliterator Converter can be used to convert your
documents to the Unicode-encoded version of Semitic Transliterator.

Applications - Requires Microsoft
Word 2004 to convert files to Semitic Transliterator in Unicode
fonts. The files you are going to convert must be Word for
Macintosh files, since the macros are Word macros embedded in a Word
file. Word 2008 does not support Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
macros and therefore will not work. You must have Word 2004.
(Microsoft left VBA out of Word 2008.) See Semitic Transliterator in Unicode for

Unicode-encoded fonts. |
