Together with Linguist's Software's LaserArabic or LaserHebrew products, Nisus Writer 6.x can write right to left text without having to install the resources from the standard Apple Arabic or Hebrew Language Kits. Hebrew-only or Arabic-only text is transferable as text to all other Macintosh applications.

LaserArabic includes 4 Type-1 and TrueType Arabic fonts which also contain the characters for Persian (Farsi), Malay, and Urdu.

LaserHebrew includes 6 typefaces, 2 with all the vowels and accents in the Hebrew Scriptures.
