LaserTibetan for Windows

Four professional-quality, hinted, scalable Tibetan fonts, in both TrueType® and Type-1 formats. LhasaLS is a modern-style Tibetan font that has all of the characters, numbers, and diacritics used in modern Tibetan, plus many Sanskritized characters. TibetanBlock is a woodblock Tibetan font that has the same character set as LhasaLS, but this typeface mimics the characters printed on cloth with wooden blocks in Tibet. TibetanLS is the Tibetan font that comprised our former LaserTibetan for Windows product. It now also contains Tibetan numbers. (TibetanLS is not ASCII-compatible with LhasaLS and TibetanBlock.) The last font in this product is OrnateTibetan, an ornamental font, not intended to be a complete character set. It is not ASCII-compatible with the other three fonts. This product has three different keyboard layouts, to be used with the different fonts, and the Keyboard Switcher utility (included) provides simple, logical input.

All four fonts are ASCII-equivalent with their Macintosh counterparts, making file transfer between Mac and Windows simply a matter of saving files as text, transferring the file to the other platform, highlighting the text, and applying the equivalent font.

System Requirements: The fonts install into Microsoft® Windows 7, Vista, XP, or 2000, and work with all Windows 7-, Vista-, XP-, and 2000-compatible applications that allow the user to select fonts from a font menu. (A previous version is available for Windows NT, Me, 98, or 95; please contact the Sales office.) The product includes a User's Manual and keyboard layout chart(s). The included keyboard driver(s) allows access to four characters per key (instead of the normal two) and alternate keyboard layouts. All documentation is in PDF format, available on the Windows Start menu, and can be viewed and/or printed using Adobe Reader. The fonts will print to any printer at the highest quality allowed by your printer.

A custom version (fonts only) is available for Linux, but Linux users must provide alternate keyboard input for characters in the extended character set. If you are ordering for Linux be sure to select the Linux box on the Order Form.
