The
input method allows you to type all the special Jicarilla letters using only
four regular keys followed by the letter you want accented. You first type
the deadkey (the diacritic setup key) and nothing happens until you type
the letter over which or under which you want the diacritic placed. When
you type the second key the keyboard places the correct letter with
diacritic into your document.
Examples:
The semicolon key is always used to add an acute accent; the colon key adds
the underbar; the grave key adds the grave accent; and the slash key adds the
acute with underbar.
LaserJicarilla for Windows
LaserJicarilla
contains
Keyboard Switcher for easy typing in Windows of all special characters. Simply
type a deadkey, the semi-colon, colon or slash, (nothing happens) and then type the letter. The accented letter
will be inserted in the text. LaserJicarilla for Windows and LaserJicarilla for
Macintosh are fully cross-platform compatible as any standard English font.
The fonts install into Microsoft® Windows XP, 2000, NT, Me, 98, 95, or 3.1x,
and work with all Windows XP-, 2000-, NT-, Me-, 98-, 95- and 3.1x-compatible
applications that allow the user to select fonts from a font menu. The
Type 1
fonts require Adobe Type Manager® in Windows Me/98/95/3.1. The product includes
a User's Manual, keyboard layout chart(s), and Character Code Tables showing
every character in the font(s). The included Keyboard Switcher (keyboard driver)
allows access to
four characters per key (instead of the normal two) and alternate keyboard layouts. The fonts
alone (without Keyboard Switcher) will install into Linux,
but Linux users must provide alternate keyboard input for characters in the
extended character set. These fonts will print to any printer at
the highest quality allowed by your printer.
