LaserHindi Sanskrit for Windows

TrueType® and Type-1 HindiSanskritLS fonts, in plain, bold, italic and bolditalic styles, containing all the characters in modern Hindi and classical Sanskrit. The included keyboard driver remaps your keyboard and assists typing consonants, conjuncts, and vowels. The older HindiSanskrit plain font is also included in the product.

System Requirements: The TrueType® fonts install into Microsoft® Windows XP, 2000, NT, Me, 98, or 95 and work with all Windows XP-, 2000-, NT-, Me-, 98-, and 95-compatible applications that allow the user to select fonts from a font menu. (A custom version for Windows 3.1 is available by request.) Type 1 fonts are also provided and require Adobe Type Manager® in Windows Me/98/95. The included Keyboard Switcher (keyboard driver) provides alternate keyboard layouts and allows access to four characters per key (instead of the normal two). The product includes a User's Manual, keyboard layout chart(s), and Character Code Tables showing every character in the font(s). All documentation is in PDF format, and can be viewed and/or printed using Adobe Reader. The fonts will print to any printer at the highest quality allowed by your printer.

A custom version (fonts only) is available for Linux, but Linux users must provide alternate keyboard input for characters in the extended character set. If you are ordering for Linux be sure to select the Linux box on the Order Form.

These fonts are compatible with NewHindiSanskrit for Macintosh, shown further down this page. The fonts will have the same character set, character shapes, and arrangement as the Windows fonts. With the Macintosh fonts in NewHindiSanskrit you will be able to transfer files back and forth with LaserHindi Sanskrit for Windows using plain text.

NewHindi Sanskrit for Macintosh

Professional-quality, hinted, scalable TrueType® and ATM-compatible Type 1 HindiSanskritLS font, in plain, bold, italic and bolditalic styles, and the NewHindiSanskrit font (plain only), compatible with LaserHindi Sanskrit for Windows, each with corresponding polished screen bitmap fonts (HindiSanskritLS in 12, 14, 18, 24 and 36 point sizes, NewHindiSanskrit in 12, 18, 24, 36 and 48 point sizes).

System Requirements: Works with any Macintosh, including the new Intel-based Macs. The font is typed using the US keyboard. The product includes a User's Manual and keyboard layout charts.
