LaserChechen provides professional-quality, hinted fonts in TrueType and
Type 1 formats for typing Chechen, Turkish, English and Azeri. The ChechenLS font is
available in 6 typestyles (Times-, Helvetica-, Garamond-, Palatino-, Courier-, and
Chancery-styles) in plain, bold, italic, and bold-italic
styles (except ChechenLSChan is plain only).
LaserChechen for Windows and LaserChechen for Macintosh are cross-platform compatible in
the same manner as any regular English system font. No conversion is necessary.
To type Chechen in the Cyrillic script see Cyrillic II, TransCyrillic,
and TransCyrillic in Unicode.

LaserChechen for Windows
LaserChechen for Windows includes three optional keyboard layouts: The ChechenLS
Deadkey layout is based on the US keyboard but with the special Chechen
letters available through typing a deadkey accent followed by the desired
letter. (For example, type the semicolon followed by "a" to get "ä".) This
layout also has all the special Chechen characters available by alternate
keystrokes described on the included keyboard layout chart. The second layout is
the ChechenLS Standard layout based on the work done by the committee commissioned
by the President of the Chechen Republic (through the resolution of Parliament
ChRI). The third keyboard layout is for Azeri, and follows the Microsoft Azeri
layout.
System Requirements: The fonts install into Microsoft® Windows 7, Vista, XP, or 2000, and work with all Windows-compatible
applications that allow the user to select fonts from a font menu. The product includes
a User's Manual and keyboard layout chart(s). The included keyboard driver(s) allows access to
four characters per key (instead of the normal two) and alternate keyboard
layouts. All documentation is in PDF format, available on the Windows Start
menu, and can be viewed and/or printed using
Adobe Reader. The fonts will print to any printer at
the highest quality allowed by your printer.
A custom version (fonts only) is available
for Linux,
but Linux users must provide alternate keyboard input for characters in the
extended character set. If you are ordering for Linux be sure to select the
Linux box on the Order Form.
