What others are saying What others are saying

Two professional-quality fonts, one Greek and one Hebrew, which will allow students of these languages working on a limited budget to produce high quality printed output. Both of these fonts are provided in TrueType® and PostScript® Type 1 language font formats.

Graeca II plain is the regular text font used to publish the UBS 4th edition revised Greek New Testament and includes all 35 accents, breathing marks, iota subscripts, and diereses needed to type classical and Biblical Greek. These may be typed over any symbol in any combination. This font also includes the Nestle-Aland, UBS, Leiden, and TLG text-critical symbols and sigla as well as the Roman alphabet and French and German accents. The font is especially valuable for those working with the Greek New Testament (which is formatted in SymbolGreekII, an identically-encoded font that is part of LaserGreek), allowing you to cut and paste portions of the text into your document. The Windows and Macintosh versions of the fonts are ASCII-compatible with each other and with the fonts in LaserGreek and LaserGreek II, allowing easy file conversion between users of these other fonts, on both Windows and Macintosh platforms.

Hebraica II plain is a standard classical-style square Hebrew font and contains all vowel points and accents occurring in the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (Tanach/OT). It has been licensed to produce the Biblia Hebraica Quinta, the Oxford Hebrew Bible Project, and the Dead Sea Scrolls Project. Automatic overstriking vowel points, accents, cantillation marks, and diacritical symbols are able to be placed over any letter in any combination. Hebraica II is an English system, left-to-right font, excellent for those needing to input Hebrew words or short phrases into an English (or other language) document. The font is especially valuable for those working with the Hebrew Scriptures (which are formatted in Hebraica II), allowing you to cut and paste portions of the text into your document. The Windows and Macintosh versions of the fonts are ASCII-compatible with each other and with the fonts in LaserHebrew and LaserHebrew II, allowing easy file conversion between users of these other fonts, on both Windows and Macintosh platforms.

This product is a subset of the LaserGreek and LaserHebrew products and contains only one of the fonts, in plain style only, from each of these two products.

Graeca II & Hebraica II for Windows

Easily type classical and Biblical Greek with all accents and breathing marks using a logical, phonetic keyboard input. For example, type alpha on the 'a' key and add the smooth breathing by typing the 'j' key. The breathing mark is automatically placed over the previously-typed alpha. (This layout has become a de facto standard among classical and Biblical Greek scholars.)

Easily type modern and Biblical Hebrew (including all vowels and cantillation marks) using logical keyboard input.

System Requirements: The TrueType® fonts install into Microsoft® Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000, or NT, and work with all Windows 7-, Vista-, XP-, 2000-, and NT-compatible applications that allow the user to select fonts from a font menu. (A previous version is available for Windows Me, 98, or 95.) The product includes a User's Manual and keyboard layout chart(s). The included keyboard driver(s) allows access to four characters per key (instead of the normal two) and alternate keyboard layouts. All documentation is in PDF format, available on the Windows Start menu, and can be viewed and/or printed using Adobe Reader. The fonts will print to any printer at the highest quality allowed by your printer.

A custom version (fonts only) is available for Linux, but Linux users must provide alternate keyboard input for characters in the extended character set. If you are ordering for Linux be sure to select the Linux box on the Order Form.

All documentation is in Adobe PDF format, and is installed to the Windows Start menu for easy viewing and/or printing.

What others are saying about Graeca II & Hebraica II Here's what others are saying about our Greek and Hebrew fonts:

Graeca II & Hebraica II:

"I just want everyone at Linguist's Software to know how extremely pleased I was with the assistance and guidance I received in completing the setting up of my Hebraica and Graeca. Thanks to all of you for your product."
Professor James Barr, Claremont Graduate School

"Thank you, and may the Lord bless you and your staff as you labor in His kingdom...spreading the Word of God, as well as drawing interest for believers to study the original languages. I do plan to order other materials from you. Again, thank you. I'm glad you guys are around."
Ron Mays Sr., Paradise, CA

"I still can't thank you enough for your pleasant assistance, both through email, and especially over the phone. I am so excited about and greatly, truly, appreciate and love [your] software of the Word of God for both the Old and New Testaments!!! Thank you very much!!! The Kingdom of God has once again advanced in my life, and for the benefit of others as well, through these great, powerful, and indispensable tools!!! Again, thank you very much. God bless you and all of yours."
Javier Hernandez, Pasadena, California

Greek:

"Superb ... elegantly intelligent while easy to use. Bravo! [I am] utterly delighted ... vastly superior to any mode of entering Greek I have previously tried (nearly everything possible: Lettrix, Turbofonts, Ibycus, Nota Bene, WordPerfect, etc)."
Prof. John Boswell (deceased), Yale University

"your Greek fonts are really perfect"
Nikolaos Trunte, Bonn, Germany

"I'm not retained by Linguist's Software (and certainly not by GreekKeys, a cumbersome system that drove me nearly insane when I tried it); but I would like to say, and not for the first time, that for me LaserGreek, in its successive editions, is so far superior to every other Greek font system, in every way, that I can't imagine why it hasn't swept the market. Minimal changes to the American keyboard, and those supremely rational. The virtual abolition of all cumbersome "grouping". Accents, breathings, &c. independent and postpositive. Easy switching between fonts. The sum is that I can type LaserGreek just as fast as Roman--and could do so only a week after installation. What other system can offer that without requiring a large effort of memorization followed by lengthy practice? The benefits were enormous ... sigmas and correlation of platforms is wonderful. I'm both a classicist and a professional author, and use LaserGreek all over the place, for books, articles, editions, you name it."
Peter Green
Professor Emeritus of Classics, U. of Texas at Austin
Editor, Syllecta Classica

"Your encoding ... sensible key assignments and accent keys method is better [than] GreekKeys. The font Odyssea looks really nice."
Helma Dik
Department of Classics
University of Chicago

"I would like to thank Linguist's Software for your high-quality LaserGreek Pro fonts, beautiful typefaces and easy-to-use keyboard layouts."
Ari Teerimaki, University of Helsinki, Finland

"I have your Symbol Greek and like it very much. I have a number of your products and consider them to be first-rate."
Don Garlington, Toronto, Ontario

"Thank you also for your Greek fonts, which are finely designed and simple to use even for the computerly illiterate! With best wishes for your continued success."
Archimandrite Ephrem, Monastery of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First, Manchester, England

"Thanks again for excellent typography, and products. The installation of the Odyssea was successful. I appreciate the generally clear and complete instructions in the book."
Robert W. Wright, Professor, Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

"Yeah! Your new program solved the big problem with Cyrillic! Now I can use both Cyrillic and LaserGreek together. It works! Thank you very much! Thanks a lot for the HellenicaExtras keyboard chart. It's very helpful. Now I am convinced that your Greek fonts seem to be (nearly?) perfect."
Ivo Gottwald, Leipzig, Germany

"I thank you for the professional effort that you personally and your company offer to ancient and modern philology."
PhDr. Jan Kalivoda
Institute of Greek and Latin Studies
School of Arts, Charles University Prague, Czech Republic

"I appreciate your very fine product. I cannot imagine life without this software."
Noel H. Mayfield, Memphis, TN

Administrateur delegue et webmaster de l'Association Internationale
Chretiens et Juifs pour un enseignement de l'Estime

"Laser Greek succeeded very well. Thanks for your friendly helpfulness."
Ruth Neuberger, Tel Aviv, Israel

Hebrew:

"I am very pleased with your fonts. They are crisp, clean and you have them loaded with all the pointing, cantillations, and diacritics that the other fonts don't have. I am teaching Hebrew and use your fonts to build my quizzes, tests, and exercises from Weingreen. I include the accents when they are important to the understanding of the texts. Your mapiq/dagesh/shuruq solution is quiet effective and elegant. You have a great font."
Prof. Shawn Madden, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary

"Your fonts are much more beautiful than [Microsoft's] Windows 2000 fonts for Hebrew etc."
Veli Voipio, Finland

"I appreciate your very fine product. I cannot imagine life without this software."
Noel H. Mayfield, Memphis, TN

"I am amazed by your competence."
Menahem R. Macina, the Free University of Brussels
Administrateur delegue et webmaster de l'Association Internationale
