The Hebrew Scriptures are available in three forms, two in Hebrew and one transliterated. The texts are available fully pointed and accented (with cantillation marks), as a consonantal version without the vowels and accents, and in a transliterated version (vocalized). The two Hebrew versions require LaserHebrew (sold separately) and the transliterated version requires the TranslitSBL font, part of Semitic Transliterator (also sold separately). The Windows version of the TranslitSBL font is arranged like a standard Windows font, and the Macintosh version of TranslitSBL is arranged like a standard Macintosh font. This means transliterated Scripture text (but not Hebrew text) may be transferred back and forth between Windows and Macintosh owners of these fonts with no conversion necessary. (Instructions for transferring Hebrew text are included in the User's Manuals.)

Hebrew Scriptures for Windows

System Requirements: Available in Microsoft® Word format. The Hebrew Scriptures (whether fully pointed and accented or consonantal) requires Linguist's Software LaserHebrew® for Windows® (version 7.0 or newer) or LaserHebrew II fonts. (The Hebrew texts come formatted in the NewJerusalem font, included in LaserHebrew. However, users may highlight text and reformat it with other fonts in LaserHebrew or LaserHebrew II.) The Hebrew Scriptures Transliterated requires the TranslitSBL font included Semitic Transliterator for Windows.

MacHebrew Scriptures for Macintosh

The fully pointed and accented (cantillation marks) version is available for use with Microsoft Word (left to right input in OS 9 or OS X), for use with Nisus Writer 6.5 for OS 9 (right to left input), or for use with Nisus Writer 6.5 for Hebrew Language Kit for OS 9.
