14 Archaic Alphabets in a single product!

14 Professional-quality, hinted Archaic Alphabets in both Type 1 and TrueType® formats. Fonts include Avestan, Etruscan, Formello, Archaic Greek (left- and right-facing), Imperial Aramaic, Archaic Latin, Oscan, Parthian, Archaic Persian (Cuneiform), Prototypical Phoenician, Psalter Pahlavi, Sasanian Persian (Inscription Pahlavi), Umbrian, and Wulfilian Gothic. Characters are phonetically arranged on the keyboard as far as possible. The fonts follow the work of Prof. Walter Belardi of the Università "La Sapienza" in Rome, Italy.

Archaic Alphabets™ for Windows and Macintosh are completely ASCII compatible. Files can be transferred from one platform to the other in either RTF (Rich Text Format) or text-only format. Complete instructions are provided in the included User's Manual.

Archaic Alphabets for Windows

Easily type 14 archaic alphabets.

The fonts install into Microsoft® Windows XP, 2000, NT, Me, 98, 95, or 3.1x, and work with all Windows XP-, 2000-, NT-, Me-, 98-, 95- and 3.1x-compatible applications that allow the user to select fonts from a font menu. The Type 1 fonts require Adobe Type Manager® in Windows Me/98/95/3.1. The product includes a User's Manual, keyboard layout chart(s), and Character Code Tables showing every character in the font(s). The included Keyboard Switcher (keyboard driver) allows access to four characters per key (instead of the normal two) and alternate keyboard layouts. The fonts alone (without Keyboard Switcher) will install into Linux, but Linux users must provide alternate keyboard input for characters in the extended character set. These fonts will print to any printer at the highest quality allowed by your printer.

Easily type 14 archaic alphabets. The fonts come with polished screen bitmaps in 12, 14, 18, 24 and 36 point sizes, and will work with any Macintosh printer. (The Type 1 fonts require a PostScript® printer or Adobe Type Manager, or the bitmaps will be printed.) Completely ASCII compatible with Archaic Alphabets for Windows for easy transfer of files cross-platform.

System Requirements: Works with any Macintosh, including the new Intel-based Macs. The font is typed using the US keyboard. The product includes a User's Manual and keyboard layout charts.
