Linguist’s Software, a font foundry since 1984, produces and licenses professional-quality, scalable fonts for over 2000 languages for the Windows and Macintosh platforms. The company was founded by Philip B. Payne, Ph.D. from Cambridge University in New Testament Greek, which he taught there, at various seminaries, and as a missionary in Japan.

Linguist’s Software has been featured in many publications, including Forbes Magazine and the New York Times. Our products are widely licensed and used in publishing. Our Greek fonts were used in the Nestle-Aland 27th ed. Novum Testamentum Graece and the United Bible Societies’ 4th ed., rev. Greek New Testament. One of those fonts, SymbolGreekTU, is being used to produce the Nestle-Aland 28th ed. Novum Testamentum Graece. Our beautiful NewJerusalemU font is being used to produce the new Oxford Hebrew Bible, and is the perfect font for reproducing the Hebrew Scriptures. Our Cyrillic II fonts were used to print the Easy-to-Read Russian Bible. Licensees include such companies as AutoDesk, Geac, Dr. Pepper and Seven Up. Scores of universities and seminaries have licensed LaserGreek and other Linguist's Software fonts, including Cambridge University, Oxford University, King's College London, St. Andrews University, the University of Wales, the University of Zuerich, Mainz University, Ecole Francaise d'Athenes, Bar Ilan University, the University of Victoria (BC), the University of Chicago, the University of California, University of Notre Dame, University of Texas, University of Washington, Southwestern University, the University of Cincinnati, the University of Colorado, Wheaton College, Covenant Seminary, Dallas Theological Seminary, and Fuller Theological Seminary.

Linguist’s Software provides utilities that make it easy to type different languages on the US keyboard. For Windows, Keyboard Switcher provides access to four characters per key and the ability to change keyboard layouts with a hotkey. For the Macintosh, AsiaScript, EuroScript, and InduScript scripting programs provide appropriate keyboard layouts, and also allow automatic contextualization of characters while text is being typed in languages such as Cambodian, Korean, and Thai (AsiaScript), Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Sanskrit, Sinhalese, and Telugu (InduScript), and Czech, Danish, French, Greek, Icelandic, Slovak, Tamil, Turkish, and 20 other languages (EuroScript).

Besides fonts, Linguist’s Software also produces Bible study software, including Greek, Hebrew, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Latin, and English Bibles, and a Macintosh Bible search program.

Our fonts are also available in custom versions for several implementations of the UNIX operating system. They work directly in Linux.
